2026년 가을학기를 맞아 학생들과 학부모님들께 반가운 마음으로 인사를 드립니다.
저는 한별한국학교의 신임 교장 김미라입니다.
앞으로 우리 학생들이 한국어와 한국문화를 배우며, 자신의 뿌리를 이해하고 자신감 있게 성장할 수 있도록 즐겁고 의미 있는 시간을 만들어 나가겠습니다. 또한 학부모님들과 따뜻하게 소통하며 함께 성장하는 한별한국학교를 만들어 갈 수 있도록 노력하겠습니다.
Dear Han Byul Families,
As we look forward to the upcoming 2026 fall semester, I am happy to extend a warm welcome to all of our families.
My name is Mira Kim, and I am honored to serve as the new principal of Han Byul Korean School beginning this fall semester. I am truly grateful to begin this new school year together with our students and families.
I will do my best to ensure that our students have a joyful and meaningful experience learning the Korean language and culture, while gaining a deeper understanding of their heritage and growing in confidence. I also look forward to building relationships with our families as we work together to create a caring and supportive Han Byul community.
**2026년 가을학기 개학 안내** ( 2026 Fall Semester – Important Information)
1. 개학일과 수업시간/ Class schedule
2 .학교 주소 / School Address: 106 Orangeburg Rd., Old Tappan, NJ 07675
교회 건물 앞 진입로가 일방통행입니다.
교회 건물 뒤편의 넓은 주차장에 주차하신 후 Preschool Entrance로 들어와 주시기 바랍니다.
Please note that the driveway in front of the church is one-way.
Please park in the parking lot behind the church building and enter through the Preschool Entrance.
3. 학급 배정 안내 / Class Placement
개학 후 첫 2~3주 동안 담임교사의 평가와 관찰을 통해 학생들의 학급이 재배치될 수 있습니다.
During the first 2–3 weeks of the semester, students may be reassigned to a different class based on the homeroom teacher’s evaluation and observation.
4. 학교 가방 안내 / School Bag Information
신입생들에게는 한별한국학교 가방이 무료로 지급되며, 등교 시 학생들이 학교 가방을 사용합니다.
재학생이 새 가방이 필요할 경우 담임선생님께 말씀해 주시고, $5 만 납부하시면 됩니다.
All new students will receive a Han Byul Korean School bag. Please have students use this bag when attending school.
If a current student would like to have a new bag, please request through their homeroom teacher. (Cost will be $5.)
5. 학습자료비 / Materials Fee
학습자료비 (학생 1인당 $20)는 개학일에 담임 선생님께 납부해 주시기 바랍니다.
가능하면 현금으로 봉투에 넣어 학생 이름을 기입하여 보내주시기 바랍니다.
The materials fee ($20 per student) should be paid to the homeroom teacher on the first day of school.
If possible, please send the payment in cash in an envelope labeled with your child’s name.
6. 식사 안내 / Meal Information
개학일, 민속의 날에는 전교생에게 식사를 제공합니다.
Meals will be provided for all students on the first day of school and Korean Culture Day.
7. 금요반 저녁식사 플랜 안내 / Friday Dinner Plan
금요반 저녁식사 플랜은 학부모회에서 주관하며, 자세한 안내는 곧 학부모회를 통해 전달될 예정입니다.
저녁식사 플랜 참여를 원하지 않으시는 경우에는 자녀의 저녁식사를 가정에서 준비하여 보내주시기 바랍니다.
The Friday dinner plan is organized by the Parent Association, and more information will be shared soon.
If you choose not to participate in the dinner plan, please send dinner from home for your child.
8. 민속의 날 / Korean Culture Day
이 행사는 금요반과 토요반 모든 한별한국학교 학생들이 함께 참여하는 특별한 행사입니다.
Hanbyul Korean School will hold a Korean Culture Day on Friday, October 2nd.
This will be a special event for all Han Byul Korean School students for both the Friday and Saturday classes combined.
9. 학급 안내 / Class Information
10.휴대폰 사용 규칙 / Cell Phone Policy
한국학교 수업 중에는 학생들의 휴대폰 사용을 금지합니다.
수업 중에는 담임선생님의 책상에 학생들의 셀폰을 놓아 두며, 필요시에만 사용을 허락합니다.
Phones are not permitted during classes.
During class, students must place their phones on the homeroom teacher’s desk.
Students may use their phones only with the teacher’s permission when needed.
11.건강 및 안전수칙 / Health & Safety Guidelines
학생들의 건강과 안전을 위해 아래 수칙을 준수하여 주시기 바랍니다.
For the health and safety of all students, please follow the guidelines below.
**안전 수칙 / Safety Guidelines**
1. 등교 시 / Drop-Off
학생들을 반드시 교실까지 직접 데려다 주시기 바랍니다.
주차장에서 학생만 내려주고 보호자가 떠나는 경우, 학생들의 안전은 학교가 책임지지 않습니다.
학생의 안전을 위해 등교시 반드시 교실까지 동행해 주시기 바랍니다.
For the safety of all students, parents and guardians are required to accompany their child to the classroom upon arrival at school.
If a parent or guardian drops off a student in the parking lot and leaves without accompanying the student to the classroom, the school will not be responsible for the student’s safety.
2. 하교/ Dismissal
하교 시에는 교사들이 학생들을 주차장까지 안전하게 인솔하여 나갑니다. 보호자께서는 주차장 외부에서 대기해 주시면 학생을 바로 픽업하실 수 있습니다.
At dismissal, teachers will escort students safely to the parking lot. Parents and guardians may wait outside in the designated area and pick up their children there.
3. 결석·지각·조퇴 안내 / Absence, Tardiness & Early Pick-Up
결석, 지각 또는 조퇴가 필요한 경우에는 미리 담임 선생님께 알려 주시기 바랍니다. 학생의 안전을 위해 사전 통보 없이 학생을 조퇴시키거나 픽업하는 것은 허용되지 않습니다.
If your child will be absent, arriving late, or needs to leave early, please notify the homeroom teacher in advance.
For the safety of all students, early pick-up without prior notification is not permitted.
**건강수칙 / Health Guidelines**
학생들의 건강과 안전을 위해 열이 나거나 감기 증상이 있을 경우에는 담임교사에게 미리 알려주시고 학교에 등교하지 않도록 해주시기 바랍니다. 결석한 학생에게는 담임교사가 학습자료와 숙제물을 이메일로 보내드립니다.
If your child shows fever or cold symptoms, please notify the homeroom teacher in advance and keep your child home. The homeroom teacher will email the student’s class materials and homework.
수업 중 학생이 열이 나거나 몸이 아픈 경우에는 학부모님께 연락드리며, 가능한 한 신속하게 자녀를 픽업해 주시기 바랍니다.
If a student develops a fever or becomes ill during class, parents or guardians will be contacted and asked to pick up their child as soon as possible.
새 학기에도 학부모님들의 따뜻한 관심과 협력을 부탁드리며, 학생들과 함께 즐겁고 행복한 한 학기를 만들어 가기를 기대합니다. 개학일에 반가운 모습으로 만나 뵙겠습니다!
