학부모님 안녕하세요? 

가을 학기 온라인 수업을 위해 각 학생들에게 수업자료 모음 가방을 배부합니다. 수업자료 모음 가방에는 교과서, 학습자료, 특별활동 재료, 학습활동 프린트물이 포함되어 있습니다. 이번 학기 학부모님들께서 프린트물을 준비하시는 분량을 줄이기 위해 최선을 다하고 있습니다. 

가을 학기 등록을 8월 29일(토요일) 까지 연장합니다. 미처 등록을 마치지 못하신 분들은 속히 등록하여 주시면 학습자료 모음 가방 준비에 큰 도움이 되겠습니다. 

학생들이 온라인 수업으로 인해 오랜 시간 컴퓨터 앞에 앉아 있는 시간이 많아졌습니다. 각 반에서는 전체 학습 외에 맞춤 수업으로 개별 혹은 소그룹 지도를 포함한 일정을 계획하고 있습니다. 특히 어린 학생들은 새로운 일정으로 컴퓨터 앞에 있는 시간이 조정이 되며, 학습 효과도 올릴 수 있도록 준비하였습니다. 특별활동이 있는 날의 일정은 조정이 됩니다. 

각 학급별 준비 사항은 담임선생님께서 보내 드리실 것 입니다.

 Dear Parents, We are planning to distribute the Fall Semester Study Packets. The packet will contain a textbook, study materials and exercise print outs. 

We are extending our registration date until Saturday, Aug 29. Please register as soon as possible so that we can prepare the semester materials for our students. We will try to include most of the semester materials in the packets to reduce the amount of at home printing for our parents. 

We understand that it is difficult for our students to sit in front of a screen for extended periods of time while they are learning. Our school has been trying to accommodate all of the parent concerns and requests – so we have changed our classroom to a more interactive format. 

Each Korean School day will include a General Session and Small group sessions which will be either one on one or two to three students of similar proficiency with the teacher. This will allow our students to learn more and reduce their screen time. Students will be assigned homework that they can complete at their own pace after each class. We have also incorporated Special Activities for students throughout the semester – and those days will have a slightly different schedule. 

Our Parents can pick up their student(s) Study Packets on Tuesday, September 1 between 4:00pm-5:00pm at 10 Wright Pl. Cresskill, NJ 07626. 

Homeroom teacher will send out class notices soon.

2020 가을 학기 등록 안내. 2020 Fall semester registration starts today.

여름방학 건강히 지내셨는지요? 지난 주 여름 학기를 잘 마치고 이제 가을 학기 준비를 합니다. 가을 학기도 온라인 수업으로 진행합니다. 온라인 수업의 효율성을 높히고 학생들이 즐겁게 참여할 수 있도록 한국어 교육 과정을 아래와 같이 개선하였습니다. 

 1. 한국어 과정을 language proficiency course 로 진행합니다. 학생들의 성취도에 따라 매학기 다음 레벨로 학급 이동을 할 수 있게 됩니다. (이전의 학년제 프로그램에서 학기제로 교육과정을 modify 하였습니다.) 온라인 수업의 장점을 고려하여 학생들이 학습 동기를 유발할 수 있도록 프로그램을 개선하였습니다. 

2. 소규모 학급 운영( 8명 이하 정원제)으로 각 학생의 필요에 맞게 맞춤 지도가 이뤄질 수 있도록 준비합니다. 

3. 한국어 수업 외에 학생들의 창의력 개발을 위한 특별 활동과 문화수업도 진행합니다. 

 온라인 수업으로 이동됨에 따라 가을 학기 등록금이 잠정적으로 하향 조정되었습니다. 재학생은 20% 추가 할인한 등록금을 적용해 드리니 8월 21일까지 등록하셔서 할인 혜택을 받으시길 바랍니다. 아래 링크를 클릭하시면 온라인 등록을 하실 수 있습니다.

 Dear Parents, We hope you are having a safe summer. We successfully finished our summer sessions last week. Our summer students continued to develop their Korean language skills and created fantastic traditional Korean art. Since we will continue our classes online, we reorganized our curriculum to make the best of our new learning environment. 

 1. Our Korean Classes will be proficiency based. Our students will be able to advance to the next level each semester as they improve. (In our previous curriculum students advanced yearly.) Our diligent students will advance more quickly with this new program. 

2. We are proudly limiting our classes to 8 students or less. As a result, our teacher will utilize flexible teaching plan. Our teachers will provide tailored classes to strengthen all of our students' skills. 

3. During the semester, there will be classes that focus on Art and Korean culture. We temporarily reduced tuition as we develop our online program. As promised, our current students will receive an additional 20% off this semester. 

 We are accepting online registration beginning Aug 10th. Please register before Aug 21st to receive early bird tuition. We hope to see our wonderful students this fall.
